چکیده
This paper studies ICMEs detected by both Voyager spacecraft during propagation from 1 to 10 AU, with observations 1977 1980. are using several signatures in the situ data, primary one being low measured expected proton temperature ratio. We found 21 events common and study their internal structure terms of plasma magnetic field properties. find that expanding as they propagate outwards, decreasing density intensities, agreement previous studies. first carry out a statistical then detailed analysis each case. Furthermore, we analyse case which shock can be clearly spacecraft. The methods described here interesting for other combining data sets heliospheric missions. highlight importance exploiting useful past

In situ observations of interstellar plasma with Voyager 1.
Launched over 35 years ago, Voyagers 1 and 2 are on an epic journey outward from the Sun to reach the boundary between the solar plasma and the much cooler interstellar medium. The boundary, called the heliopause, is expected to be marked by a large increase in plasma density, from about 0.002 per cubic centimeter (cm(-3)) in the outer heliosphere, to about 0.1 cm(-3) in the interstellar medium...
متن کاملVoyager 2 Observations of Plasmas and Flows
Voyager 2 has crossed through 20 AU of the heliosheath; assuming the same heliosheath thickness as at Voyager 1, it is now two-thirds of the way to the heliopause. The plasma data are generally of good quality, although the increasing flow angle of the plasma makes analysis more difficult. The average plasma speed has remained constant but the flow angles have increased to almost 60◦ in the RT ...
متن کاملVoyager 2 Observations of Helium Abundance Enhancements from 1 - 60
The Plasma Science experiment on the Voyager 2 spacecraft recently detected helium abundance enhancements (HAEs) near 60 AU in which the alpha percentage is 10%. These large values may result from solar events related to the rising phase of solar cycle 23. Large He/H ratios are probably the best signature for tracking CMEs through the outer heliosphere. We analyze the high resolution spectra fo...
متن کاملVOYAGER 1, VOYAGER 2, AND PIONEER 10 Ly DATA AND THEIR INTERPRETATION
The Voyager 1 (V1), Voyager 2 (V2), and Pioneer 10 (P10) Ly data sets are three of several diagnostic data sets available for the study of the very local interstellar medium (VLISM). Selected V1 data obtained on 1989 day 279 at heliocentric distance of 39.1 AU in the upstream direction relative to the incoming interstellar neutral hydrogen flow and V2 data obtained on 1990 day 143 at heliocentr...
متن کاملPlanetary radio astronomy observations from voyager 2 near jupiter.
The Voyager 2 Planetary Radio Astronomy experiment to Jupiter has confirmed and extended to higher zenomagnetic latitudes results from the identical experiment carried by Voyager 1. The kilometric emissions discovered by Voyager 1 often extended to 1 megahertz or higher on Voyager 2 and often consisted of negatively or, less frequently, positively drifting narrowband bursts. On the basis of ten...
